1,000 GB stored on AWS S3 standard tier at roughly $0.023/GB projects to 1,000 × 0.023 = $23 a month, about ₹1,978 at a ₹86/USD rate. Store ten times as much, 10,000 GB, and the bill scales linearly to roughly $230 a month — no volume discount built into this simple per-GB model, even though real-world providers do offer tiered discounts at very large scale that this planning estimate can't capture.
Standard-tier storage is billed per GB per month, so the rate itself is fairly consistent across providers but varies by tier and region — hot tiers cost more to store but are cheap to read, while archive tiers are cheap to store but charge retrieval fees and often a minimum storage duration before you can move data out cheaply.
Remember this estimates the storage component only. Real bills also include request charges (PUT/GET operations, typically a small fraction of the bill unless request volume is very high) and egress when you download data out of the cloud, which the bandwidth calculator covers and which often dwarfs the storage line item for content-heavy applications. Choosing the right storage tier for your access pattern — hot for frequently read data, cold or archive for backups rarely touched — is usually a bigger lever on total cost than switching providers for a marginally better per-GB rate.
