An e2-medium machine at roughly $0.0335/hr, running the full 730-hour month, projects to 0.0335 × 730 = $24.46 a month, about ₹2,104 at a ₹86/USD rate, $293.46 across a year. Step up to an n2-standard-2 at roughly $0.0971/hr instead, and the identical 730-hour month projects to about $70.88 — nearly three times the cost for the larger machine type. That gap is exactly the trade-off worth weighing whenever a workload's actual CPU and memory needs are uncertain rather than confirmed.
Compute is time-based, so part-time VMs cost proportionally less. GCP also applies automatic sustained-use discounts for VMs that run most of the month, and committed-use discounts reward longer commitments — both can bring your real bill below the on-demand figure shown here.
